By using Coach: Voetbal, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our application.

1. Account Information

When you create an account or authenticate with Coach: Voetbal, we collect:

• OAuth Authentication Data: When you sign in with Google or Apple Sign-In, we receive basic profile information including your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by these services.
• Coach Profile: Information you provide about yourself as a coach and your team(s).

2. Team Data

To enable team management, we collect and process data you enter about your team:

• Player Information: Name, shirt number, and position of players you add to your team.
• Match Data: Results, lineups, and substitution moments you record during matches.
• Playtime Data: Per-player playtime tracked by the substitution timer.

Note: This data is entered by you as the coach and may relate to minor players. See the "Privacy of Minor Players" section below.

3. Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use Coach: Voetbal:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, and unique device identifiers for app functionality and troubleshooting.
• Log Data: Technical information including IP addresses, timestamps, and error logs to maintain and improve app performance.

4. Subscription and Payment Information

Subscription processing is handled by RevenueCat and the respective app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play Store):

• We receive subscription status information (active, expired, cancelled) but do not process payment card data directly.
• Payment processing is fully managed by Apple and Google through their respective platforms.
• RevenueCat processes subscription data on our behalf in accordance with their privacy policy.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for various purposes:

• Providing Core Services: Enabling team management, match tracking, and lineup planning.
• Account Management: Authenticating users, maintaining accounts, and managing subscription status.
• Synchronization: Making your teams and match data available across your devices.
• Communication: Sending important service announcements and updates.
• Improving Our Services: Analyzing usage patterns to improve app functionality, fix bugs, and develop new features.
• Security: Detecting, preventing, and addressing technical issues, fraud, and violations of our terms of service.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

Third-Party Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our app:

• Authentication Services: Google and Apple for OAuth sign-in functionality.
• Subscription Management: RevenueCat for managing in-app subscriptions.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Hetzner for server hosting and data storage.
• Analytics and Monitoring: Logging and monitoring services (Loki, Grafana) for app performance and troubleshooting.

These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes we specify and to protect your data.

Legal Requirements

Business Transfers

Privacy of Minor Players

Coach: Voetbal is intended for use by adult coaches and is not intended for use by children under 16 as an account holder. However, teams you manage as a coach will often include minor players, whose name, shirt number, and position you enter into the App.

As the coach, you are responsible for having an appropriate basis to enter this player data, for example through your role at the club or with the consent of the relevant parent(s) or guardian(s) where legally required. If you have questions about a minor player's data entered into the App, please contact the relevant coach or club, or reach out to us through our support form.

Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information:

• Encryption: Data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS protocols.
• Secure Storage: Personal data is stored in secure databases with access controls and regular backups.
• Authentication: OAuth-based authentication ensures secure access to your account.
• Monitoring: We maintain comprehensive logging and monitoring to detect and respond to security incidents.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this privacy policy:

• Active Accounts: We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active and you continue to use Coach: Voetbal.
• Subscription Data: Subscription history is retained as required for financial compliance and customer support.
• Logs and Technical Data: System logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting purposes.
• Account Deletion: When you delete your account, we delete your personal information and team data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside your country of residence, where data protection laws may differ. Our servers are primarily located in the European Union (Hetzner, Germany).

By using Coach: Voetbal, you consent to the transfer of your information to our facilities and the third parties with whom we share it as described in this policy.

Coach: Voetbal may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
